How to Download Embrilliance Essentials for Beginners

Embrilliance Essentials is a sewing and embroidery design software - compatible with both Mac and PC - that will give you a lot of flexibility if you are trying to merge applique or embroidery designs. 

I use it with my Brother SE2000 and Brother SE600 embroidery and sewing machines. 

There's a free version of Embrilliance, but if you want a lot more features you'll want to do the one time paid upgrade to Embrilliance Essentials. In this tutorial I'll show you how to download Embrilliance Essentials for beginners on a Mac.  The process is essential the same on PC.

I recently shared a quick video on the Silhouette School Facebook page showing a vinyl weeding technique I called "BandAid Method"...for obvious reasons. And from the sound of the collective gasp, you all lost.your.minds.

This technique where you quickly rip off the excess vinyl around the cut design, rather than slowly pulling away the negative, has also been called Snap Weeding.  Some also suggest "Waxing Method" might be most appropriate.  I'll let you decide.

How (and Why) to Use Siser EasySubli for Sublimation on Darks and Cotton

It's not possible to sublimate onto dark surfaces or cotton fabrics directly which is why Siser EasySubli has become a popular choice for those who don't want to be limited. 

With a Sawgrass sublimation printer you can print directly onto EasySubli and then cut around the image, but Siser EasySubli - which is basically sublimation HTV - can't be fed into an Epson printer and printed on directly which means you have to take several extra steps.  

I'm going to say right up front I don't recommend this method. It's time consuming and cumbersome and if you are doing this on the regular, there are far better processes and printers available that will increase your production and give you a better quality.
