New Silhouette CAMEO 4 Blades (First Look)

The new blades allow Silhouette CAMEO 4, CAMEO 4 Plus, CAMEO 4 Pro, and Portrait 3 users to get away from using some, but not all, of the tool adapters currently needed to use tools fitted for the older model Silhouette machines. 

How to Change the Grid Size in Silhouette Studio (to Match CAMEO 4 Cutting Mat)

Silhouette Studio has two different types of grid lines - both of which assist with lining up designs to match the placement of materials on the cutting mat. 

The older Silhouette CAMEO cutting mat had 1 inch grid lines, but the Silhouette CAMEO 4 cutting mats (including for the 15" CAMEO 4 Plus and 24" CAMEO Pro cutting mat) have quarter inch grid lines. To best match these cut lines for cutting accuracy, you can adjust the grid in Silhouette Studio. 

How to Turn Off Silhouette 3mm Kraft Blade Hooks and Loops

There's a setting buried in the Send panel that will allow you to turn off the hooks and loops that automatically turn on when using the 2mm and 3mm Silhouette Kraft Blade. 

The ability to turn off the series of hooks and loops, called Smart Cuts, often helps to cut thick, dense materials without the blade getting stuck in the material.

Silhouette CAMEO Autoblade Won't Cut? Use this WorkAround

If you’re having trouble cutting with your Silhouette CAMEO Autoblade - there could be multiple reasons why. 

If you have exhausted all of the troubleshooting - including making sure your blade is installed correctly and there is no debris under the cap, you may just have an Autoblade that is acting faulty.  But there's a workaround that should help so you can still use your Autoblade!
