Roland BT-12 Direct to Garment (DTG) Printer vs Sublimation Printing
Thursday, January 23, 2025
Sublimation has become very popular with Silhouette crafters for the ease of use, ability to use the same designs as Silhouette Studio, and stunning vibrant colors.
The biggest drawback to sublimation is you can only sublimate onto blanks with a poly coating, and in the case of apparel, polyester. For some small t-shirt businesses that leaves a pretty big void without being able to apply to cotton shirts. Sublimation's cousin, Direct to Garment or DTG, fills that gap with the ability to print directly onto cotton or textile products with at least 50% cotton.

DTG and DTF Transfer Time and Temperature Cheat Sheets | Free Download
Monday, April 17, 2023
I am so excited to share this DTG and DTF time and temperature cheat sheet with you guys.
I'm gonna be real honest. I made this for myself because I was tired of repeatedly having to look back at my own tutorials just to remember what temperature my heat press or curing oven needed to be on to press transfers. I can't be the only one...so I created this printable DTG and DTF transfer time and temp chart that you can print and keep close by.
DTF and DTG Printer in One: Epson F2100 Everything You Need to Know
Monday, April 10, 2023
If you're looking for a t-shirt printer that will do it all to take your t-shirt business to the next level, I may have finally found the one.
The Epson F2100 is a DTF and DTG printer in one meaning it can print directly on darks, lights, any fabric type and DTF film. It prints white, works on MAC and PC, has relatively easy maintenance, and includes everything you need to get started - including ink.
That's a lot of box checking, right?
The Epson F2100 DTG and DTG Printer is as close to a do it all printer for t shirts and DTF transfers that you're going to find under $12k $10k (new price reduction!!). This is not a printer for crafters - the size, the price, the use requirements to maintain it are just not for anyone who's not consistently selling.
But for small businesses looking to stop turning down shirt orders that a sublimation printer isn't up for (at least efficiently) while also having the ability to print the finished garment or the ready-to-press transfer the F2100 is a great option. Read on to find out more about the Epson Surecolor F2100 DTG and DTF combo printer.

SVG Designs: Why They're the Best Cut File Type for Crafters
Thursday, December 15, 2022
SVG designs are extremely versatile as far as how they can be used and in which software programs and machines they can be used with. The same SVG design can be used to make everything from stencils to stickers to laser cut projects to sublimation transfers and vinyl decals
For this reason Scalable Vector Graphics, or SVGs, are my favorite cut file type. It also means when you add new equipment to your craft room or invest in your small business you don't need to start all over with your designs. Check out all these different ways you can use the same SVG designs

Which Printer Should I Get Next? Sublimation vs DTG vs DTF vs White Toner Printer vs Roland BN-20A
Thursday, March 18, 2021
One of the best things about Silhouette Studio is not only how powerful a program it is, but the fact you can export from it in various file types allowing for printing on a wide range of printers.
When it comes to pairing a printer with Silhouette Studio or Silhouette CAMEO, print and cut is usually the first thing to come to mind. But it's only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to printing and Silhouette!
