Silhouette Studio Compound Paths: Explained!

I get more questions about Silhouette Studio compound paths than pretty much anything else.  It's not an easy concept to explain, visualize or understand and therefore is often confused with grouping and welding.

Making and releasing compound paths, however, are totally different than both grouping and welding - and equally (if not more) important when designing in Silhouette Studio.

As my friend put it to me: "I need another stuffed animal like I need a hole in the head."  Girl, I'm right there with you...but when I gave this "sample" to my daughter she was instantly IN LOVE..and promptly made her bunny a bed and read it a story!
