Sublimation onto Wine Tumblers with a Mug Press Tutorial

If you ever tried sublimating onto stemless wine tumblers with a mug press you probably quickly realized the shape of most standard mug press attachments isn't ideal for wine tumblers. 

For this reason it's usually recommended to sublimate wine tumblers in a convection oven. But...I've found a work around that will allow you to sublimate onto a stainless steel wine tumbler.

Silhouette Response to Cricut Design Space Upload Limits

Silhouette has released a short statement to Silhouette School in response to Cricut's recent announcement they will soon be limiting users to 20 free uploads into Design Space per month.  

Silhouette confirms there are no limits on file uploads to Silhouette Studio and there are no plans to change that. 

With Cricut's upcoming change, if Cricut users want to upload (required to cut) more than 20 designs in a month, they will need to pay for a membership to Cricut Access at a cost of $9.99 per month (or slightly discounted when paid annually).

Silhouette Studio Printer Border: How and Why to Use It

New Silhouette CAMEO 4 Blades (First Look)

Three new Silhouette CAMEO 4 tools will be available to order very soon!  

The new blades allow Silhouette CAMEO 4, CAMEO 4 Plus, CAMEO 4 Pro, and Portrait 3 users to get away from using some, but not all, of the tool adapters currently needed to use tools fitted for the older model Silhouette machines. 

HTV on Wood with EasyPress (When It's Too Thick for a Heat Press)

Did you know that you can press HTV onto raw, stained, or painted wood?  If the piece of wood is too thick though - a heat press won't work! 

The trick then to adding HTV on wood is with a Cricut Easypress! And it's very easy. 

Silhouette Curio Being Discontinued

Silhouette School has learned, the Silhouette Curio machine is being discontinued. 

Silhouette School has confirmed the flat bed Silhouette machine with a cult-like following by crafters who like to etch, engrave, and emboss will be phased out and manufacturing is expected to end in 2021.
