How to Get Fonts from Silhouette Design Store into Studio

If you purchased a font from the Silhouette Design store and now can't figure out how to get it into Silhouette Studio - it's a pretty common issue.

There's actually a specific place fonts from the Design Store go, and I'm going to show you exactly how to find them AND give you an alternative method if you want to use those fonts outside of Silhouette Studio too.

I Lost 4000 Files in My Silhouette Library - And Got Them Back With 4 Clicks

If you've lost your Silhouette library - or a good portion of it - I completely understand how you feel.

But..I don't want you to panic...yet.  I lost more than 4,000 design files in my Silhouette library and got them all back quickly.  Read on and then save this post for when you re-start Silhouette Studio and realize: poof my Silhouette library is empty!

Silhouette Studio Library Missing Gone? Empty? Can't Log In?! Try THIS to Recover

If your Silhouette Studio library is missing, won't sync, incomplete or completely gone...I think we can all agree, it's time to stop waiting on Silhouette to "fix" the issues.  I got you...along with a whole lot of doubt we'll ever see a true, wide scale fix from Silhouette SyncGate 2024.

Every (wo)man for himself here...well except here because there are things you can do to try to recover your library or at the very least make changes to how you save, store, and manage your first so you can get back to using Silhouette Studio minus the library. (And totally avoid it in the future!!)

Introducing the Silhouette Library Restoration Guide!

This tutorial is going to be a little different than how I usually write tutorials. It will just be steps instead of explanations with a bunch of photos as there are a lot of different scenarios we need to get through.

Silhouette Sync-Gate 2024: How to Stop the Library Syncing Errors (A Month In...and Counting)

If you've tried to use Silhouette Studio in the last month it's almost impossible that you did not notice Silhouette library syncing errors.

A mid-May website, Design Store, user account and server migration has caused what I'm now dubbing Silhouette Sync Gate 2024. Libraries aren't syncing. Design Store Orders - including subscriptions and credits - aren't syncing. Software upgrades aren't syncing.  I think the name is appropriate.

In this tutorial I'm going to show you how to do everything in your power to stop the Silhouette library sync errors and in the rest of the Sync-Gate series I'll show you how to protect your designs, create your own organized and easy to access library, and avoid so much dependency on Silhouette servers.

What is Going on With the Silhouette Design Store? 2024 Update

You may have noticed the Silhouette Design Store is slow..painfully slow.  An announced May 2024 update to the Design Store as well as the Silhouette America website is going much slower than I'm sure anyone would like...including Silhouette.

It's preventing or causing delays in downloads, syncing and navigating.  So..what's a crafty person who needs designs and fonts to do?  Read on..

Silhouette Designs Not Saving to Your Library? Here's the Fix

If you have Silhouette Design Store purchases that are suddenly not saving to your library - there's an easy fix.

This issue usually occurs when a preference has been changed in your Silhouette Design Store account.

New Download Option for Silhouette Design Store Purchases

If you've purchased anything from the Silhouette Design Store recently you may have noticed you now have the option to download all of your purchases to your computer rather than only saving them to your Silhouette Cloud Library.

This is a big change and opens up a lot of doors for users to work outside of the Silhouette library and Cloud.

Silhouette Studio Files Get Design Thumbnail Preview When Saved to Hard Drive (V4.2 Feature)

Silhouette Studio V4.2 includes a bunch of awesome new features. Among them is the long requested ability to preview Silhouette Studio files saved to the hard drive.

This means you'll no longer get the Silhouette Studio symbol as the file preview....but instead a thumbnail of the design.

Free Silhouette Designs (and SVGs) from the Silhouette Online Store

Silhouette America is having their annual Free Holiday Design event in the Silhouette Design Store!

Instead of just the one new weekly free design, the Silhouette Online Store is offering free Silhouette designs (and the matching SVG) every day until December 1.  (And pssst....everything else is 50% off and even cheaper if you first grab a $25 Design Store instant download card for $10 and use it to buy the 50% off designs!)

Opening Silhouette Store Designs in Silhouette Studio: Beginners Tutorial

I get quite a few questions about how to open and use Silhouette Store Designs in Silhouette Studio.

Some designs are pretty cut and dry, but some come into Silhouette Studio not looking anything like the preview picture in the Silhouette Design Store or the library.

Silhouette Design Store SVGs: The Low Down On If You Need Them

You may have noticed that the Silhouette Design Store recently started offering the SVG file type as an add-on when purchasing Silhouette Studio designs from the online store.

When I saw this had I had to scratch my head wondering - why would you want or need to buy an SVG from the Silhouette Design Store if you're already buying the .Studio file.  After all, the SVG format isn't offered as a stand alone, you can only add it on when purchasing the .studio format of the same file.

12 Free Silhouette Designs from the Silhouette Design Store

It's Silhouette America's annual 12 Days of Free Christmas Designs in the Silhouette Design Store!

There's a new design in the store every day until Christmas...but the best part is if you didn't grab the previously released designs, you can still get them, too!

Silhouette Store Subscriptions: Pros and Cons to Monthly Design Store Plans

I get a lot of questions about the Silhouette Design Store Subscription options and which plan to design plan to pick.

So here's the low down on the pros and cons of the Silhouette Store Subscription monthly plan.

Before you jump on the monthly obligation bandwagon, there are a few things to consider, too!
