Paper medallions are a fun paper craft that allow for a lot of creativity.

In this tutorial, we'll share several ways you can customize paper medallions to make your paper projects super special using your Silhouette CAMEO.

First, you'll need to cut and assemble the paper medallions themselves. Check out this blog post for how to do that.

One way to customize paper medallions is to print your own patterned paper to make them. For these medallions I used several digital patterns included with the Patriotic Bundle on So Fontsy

Check out this blog post about how to print your own patterned paper.  What's nice about printing your own patterned paper is you can put more than one pattern on a sheet of cardstock! That way you only print as much as you need!

Another way to customize your paper medallion is the change what you place on top of them. There's always the classic cardstock circle which you could use matching or contrasting cardstock. But you can also layer different sizes of circles, give the circles a scalloped or peaked edge, or you can leave them off entirely!

Stickers and die cuts are another way to get super creative to customize your paper medallions.

All of these fun summer embellishments - also included in the So Fontsy Patriotic Design Bundle - were print and cut.

Adding embellishments and die cuts really takes a DIY medallion wreath to the next level.

You can also print and cut letters using a fun font.

And don't forget about that foam dimensional adhesive. You can really make an element stand out by giving it dimension. You can layer two foam dimensional adhesives on top of one another to give an element even more height.

Lastly, how you assemble the paper medallions together has infinite customization options. Some ideas include a paper medallion bunting or a paper medallion wreath like this one.

  1. I went to the blog with the original instructions for making the medallions but some of the pictures didn't display and they were the pictures showing what to do with the strips! Any other place to get this?
