You can increase or decrease the size of your design in Silhouette Studio so it's exactly the size you want in just a few quick clicks. Read on for this fast and easy step by step tutorial.

You'll want to start by making sure your design or image is already in a Silhouette Studio design area.

If it's not, while in the Design area, go to File > Merge to open up your design.

If the image is in the library, find the file in the library > right click > Merge to open in the work area.

Click on the design to select it. This will put a bounding box around the design with the dimensions displayed along the bottom and one of the sides.

When the design is selected, the dimensions will also appear in the quick access tool bar along the top of the software.

To change the size of an image in Silhouette Studio you can simply drag one of the corners in or out until the size or scale has changed to your desired dimensions.

If you want to change your design to an exact size, instead of dragging the corner to adjust, you may want to manually enter the dimensions in the height and width dimension boxes along the quick access tool bar.

Keep the design selected and click the lock icon next to the dimension fields on the top tool bar. This will ensure the design scales proportionally.  Enter either the width or height then hit Enter/Return on your keyboard.

The other dimension will automatically adjust since you have locked the proportions.

If you are finding that your designs are not cutting the correct size after you've sized them in Silhouette Studio it may be due to excessive margin or space around your design.  Check out this tutorial on how to fix it when your Silhouette designs are cutting the wrong size.
