Trick to Make Weeding HTV Easier

If you've ever struggled weeding heat transfer vinyl - there's a simple trick that can make weeding HTV a whole lot easier.

And not just easier...but faster too!
This trick for weeding heat transfer vinyl requires a heat press.  I'm using the pink craft press from Swing Design which is perfect for smaller shirts like the one pressing onto.

Turn on your heat press before you start cutting the HTV with your Silhouette so it has time to start warming up.

After the HTV is cut, unload it from the machine and place it on the bottom platan of the heat press while you weed.

The press doesn't need to be at full temperature - and it should remain open so it warms the HTV a bit.

Use your hook to weed the heat transfer vinyl like you normally would! The indirect heat from the top softens and warms the HTV making it really easy to weed off the carrier sheet.

Is that design not the cutest?!  It's part of So Fontsy's April 2019 SVG and Font Bundle.
