Did you ever create a design in Silhouette Studio only to realize it doesn't look good on the surface where you put it?
Open your design in Silhouette Studio. I'm using this cheer and basketball SVG design from So Fontsy.
I shared how to customize it for my kids' school colors in this video.
The problem is I wasn't sure what color combination between the megaphone and poms would look good on different color sweatshirts.
But by using the Media Color option in the Page Setup panel I was able to quickly see my original design colors was not going to work.
I had both a blue sweatshirt and a white sweatshirt. Look what happens when I change the Media Color background to blue representing the color of the shirt.
The solution is either change the color of the poms or put a white offset around the entire design to make it pop. The white offset is what I ended up doing..
With the background white, again, I can see a slight design change is needed.
I made my final edits by changing the megaphone to red and inverted the red and blue on the poms.
By using the Media Color option these "issues" come up before the design is printed or cut so I'm not wasting media, ink or time.
And here's me and my mom wearing a custom team gear at a recent football game.
