Trick to Opening Multiple Silhouette Library Designs in the Same Work Area

This is one of those Silhouette Studio tricks I discovered by accident.  I've shared previously how to import files into Silhouette Studio into the same work area, but now I'm revealing the trick to opening files from the Studio library in the same work area.

I gotta say, this is a total game changer!
Start by opening Silhouette Studio.  Open any design - this can be from your Silhouette Studio library, one that you import, or one that you design yourself.

Now if you want to open another design, that's in your Silhouette Studio library, in that same work area open up your library.

If you double click the design it will open in a new work area. You'll have to copy it from one work area and paste it into the other.

This is when the game changer part comes into play.  Don't double click the library design.  Instead...right click it.  You'll see the option there to "Merge (file name)".

When you click Merge it opens that library file in the same work space where you're currently working.

I know!!! I told you it was a game changer!

Don't forget you can also do this with files that are not in your library, but that you want to import into Silhouette Studio. You can check out that Silhouette Studio tutorial on using the Merge function here.
