Have you ever pulled a PNG file into Silhouette Studio and then you literally can't do ANYTHING with it?

You can't click it. You can't move it. You can't select it. Nothing! It is SO frustrating, and it only happens with PNG files. Read on to learn how to fix this frustrating problem when importing PNG files into Silhouette Studio.

I honestly am not sure why this happens, but I can tell you when it happens and when it doesn't. It happens when you drag and drop a PNG file into Silhouette Studio.

This is a bug in Silhouette Studio that only seems to be related to drag and dropped PNG files.

It's almost like the image hasn't fully processed and that's preventing you from selecting the image. It's just stuck exactly where it "dropped".

The Simple Fix: Use File > Merge

The fix is actually super simple!

Instead of dragging and dropping your PNG file into Silhouette Studio, go to File > Merge  and select your PNG file from there.

Now the file opens correctly and it's possible to select it, move it and customize it as needed.
