How to Test Cut the Right Blue Tool Carriage on Silhouette CAMEO 3

The Silhouette CAMEO 3 has two tool carriages - which means you should be test cutting if you have designs in either or both of the carriages.

A test cut is a small cut that lets you make sure the selected settings are correct before you commit to cutting the full design.

Testing Cut with the Silhouette CAMEO 3

When selecting "Test Cut" in the Send panel, the left or red tool, is the default. But what happens if you need to test cut the tool that's in the right or blue tool carriage?

Put your glasses on because it's hard to see and easy to miss.  At the bottom of the send panel where the Test Cut button is - there are two tiny circles. One red and one blue.  Each corresponds to a side of the dual tool carriage.

If you click on the blue circle and then click "Test Cut" you'll be able to test cut with the tool that's in the right carriage.

Easy peesy.

  1. You're like a mind reader....I was on your site two nights ago looking to see if there was something special that had to be done to get that right side to cut. I wish this was easy peesy for me, I cannot get that right side to cut never mind do a test cut. I've been meaning to call SA about it, but sadly I just switch blades.
