Silhouette Design Store Fonts: How to Open in Studio

If you buy a font from the Silhouette Online Store, you may be wondering how to open it. Unlike fonts that you download and install on your computer, fonts purchased from the Silhouette Online Store show up in your Fonts folders in your Studio library...however, they also appear in your font list.

You want to start, obviously, with going to the Silhouette Design Store, and purchasing a font. Search for a font you like and then check out like you would with any type of design.

Next open up Silhouette Studio.  If the download doesn't start automatically, click File > Download Pending Orders.  Your purchased font should be be listed, so go ahead and download it.

Once it's downloaded the font will show up in your Font folder in your Silhouette Studio library.  Don't worry if the preview doesn't look like the font your purchased.  It's really just there so you know you purchased it.  There's nothing more you need to do with that folder.

Go back into your work area in Silhouette Studio. Use the text tool to type out your text. Select it and then from the Font Style window (in blue along the top tool bar below) scroll down or type in the name of the font at the top to find the font you purchased.

When you click it (and have your text selected at the same time), your text will change to the Silhouette Studio Font.
