Have you pulled a PNG into Silhouette Studio and now you can't click it, move it, or do anything with it?
It's a known quirk that only affects PNG files, and the fix takes about 30 seconds.
Why your PNG won't select in Silhouette Studio
When a PNG file comes into Silhouette Studio but won't respond to clicking, selecting, or moving, it's a bug that only affects PNG files. PNGs can be opened even without Designer Edition, Designer Edition Plus, or Business Edition, though there are some limitations, so this isn't a software-version problem.
For the full written walkthrough, see Can't Select or Move PNG Images in Silhouette Studio? Here's the Fix
How to fix it with File > Merge
Instead of dragging the PNG into the work area, go to File > Merge and select the same file from your computer. It will open normally, and you'll be able to select it, move it, and edit it as usual.
Why drag and drop causes the problem
The issue seems to happen only when a PNG is dragged straight from a folder into Silhouette Studio. Bringing the same file in through File > Merge doesn't trigger it. Why that is remains unclear, but switching to Merge avoids the problem every time.
