How to change thread colors on the Brother SE2000
Pick a design with just two colors for your first attempt at a multi-color project — it's enough to practice the process without overcomplicating things. Once the design is loaded, the touchscreen will show the full color sequence before you start stitching, so you know exactly how many times you'll need to switch thread and in what order. The machine stitches one color at a time and pauses automatically when it's time for the next one.

How to swap the bobbin and rethread for each color
When the machine pauses for a color change, remove the hoop from the frame without taking the fabric out of the hoop — this is what allows the machine to know exactly where to resume stitching. Swap in the new color's bobbin and spool, then rethread the machine using the numbered threading path and the auto threader button, making sure the presser foot is down and the needle is raised as high as it can go before pressing it.
Removing the hoop without losing your place
Once the new color is threaded and the hoop is back on the machine, lowering the presser foot signals the machine that it's ready to continue, and stitching resumes from the exact spot it left off. Repeat this process for each remaining color change until the design is complete, then remove the hoop, trim any loose threads, and clean up the back of the fabric.
