EufyMake E1 UV Printer: White Ink Not Printing? (How to fix it)

If your EufyMake E1 UV printer white ink stopped printing - I've been there. And I want to save you the hour-plus of frustration I went through figuring out how to get it printing white again.

The EufyMake E1 is a desktop UV printer that prints directly onto objects - tumblers, wood, acrylic, stickers and more. And white ink is hands down the most common problem EufyMake E1 owners run into.

In this complete guide to testing and fixing the white ink, we'll go through all the steps you need to take to make sure your Eufymake E1 is printing correctly.

You Might Not Even Know White Isn't Printing

Here's the crazy thing - a lot of people don't even realize their white isn't printing correctly until they try to print on something dark or make a UV sticker and suddenly wonder where the white went.

This is the moment I first realized I had an issue with my white ink.

If you've been printing on white surfaces, you have absolutely no idea your white ink isn't working. The white base layer on a white surface doesn't make it obvious there's an issue.

It's not until you go to print on something dark, or try to make a UV DTF sticker, that you realize the white is not printing solid layers.  A lot of people just add more and more layers of white to compensate. I'm here to tell you - that is NOT what you should have to do.

When your white is printing correctly, two layers of white should give you a bright white base even on a dark or clear surface.  You can see in this example, that the Eufymake E1 can print just two layers of white ink and effectively cover a solid black surface.

If you're using five or six layers and still getting something blue-ish, yellow-ish, or nearly invisible - adding more layers is not the fix.

White Ink Problem: Two Scenarios

There are really two scenarios where you're going to need to troubleshoot white ink on the EufyMake E1. Understanding which one you're in helps you know exactly what to do first.

Scenario 1 - You just came out of maintenance mode. If you haven't printed in about 3 days, your EufyMake E1 automatically goes into maintenance mode. The print head goes into a moisturizing status to protect it - which is good! But when you bring it back out and do the ink injection, the white ink very often stops printing correctly. It's almost like the cleaning liquid gets stuck in the white lines somehow.

I hear from SO many E1 owners saying the exact same thing - "my white was printing fine, then it went into maintenance mode, and now it's not working." If this is you, run a test print BEFORE you do anything else so you know what you're dealing with.

If you're not sure how to get out of maintenance mode in the first place, I have a video on that - including what the "device is busy" error means and how to fix it:

Scenario 2 - You suspect your white isn't printing correctly. Maybe you've been printing on white surfaces and everything looked fine. Then you tried something dark or print a UV DTF sticker and realized the white just isn't there. Or you're having to lay down layer after layer just to get any kind of white result. Either way - your first step is the same as Scenario 1. Run a test print.

How to Run a Test Print on the EufyMake E1

Start by swapping out the platforms and use the mini platform for the test print. Using this platform, rather than the large platform, is actually one trick for how to speed up a slow process on the Eufymake.

Cut a piece of paper down to size and place it on the platform bed.

In EufyMake Studio, go to the device settings tab and click "test print." The test takes about four to six minutes.

What you're looking for: the white dashes on the black section of the test print should be true white. Not gray. Not almost-clear. Not something you have to tilt at an angle to see. They should be obvious and bright.

I have a full video walking through exactly what a correct test print looks like vs. an incorrect one - including this side-by-side visual comparison that made it click for me.

What to Do After the Test Print

Once you've run your test print, you need to tell the software what you found.  If you have white dashes on the black printed rectangle select "Yes" and you're good to move on with printing!

But, if the white dashes are not white select "no" for the print results...

Then specify it's the white ink that's the problem.

The software will automatically run a regular print head cleaning before prompting you to do another test print. This is a standard cleaning - not a deep clean. Run the second test print on a fresh piece of paper.

If the second test print looks good - you're done! If white is still not printing correctly after that cleaning, you need to move on to the more intense white ink fix in the next step below.

Run a Deep Clean in EufyMake Studio

If the test print still shows a white ink problem after the automatic cleaning, the next step is a print head deep clean. In EufyMake Studio under Device Settings, click "Deep Clean." This takes about 9 minutes and runs completely on its own.

Remove the White Ink and Shake It

Once the UV printer completes the deep clean, remove the white ink cartridge and shake it for about 30 seconds. This is the step I believe makes the biggest difference - and if you've worked with white ink on a DTF, DTG, or any UV printer before, this is going to make complete sense to you.

White ink separates and settles. The pigment sinks to the bottom of the cartridge over time, kind of like oil and water separating. After your machine has been sitting in maintenance mode for several days, that white ink is not evenly distributed in the cartridge anymore.

Run Another Test Print

After the deep clean finishes and you've reinserted the shaken cartridge, run another test print. Yes this is now the third test print. Yes it uses ink and time. But you need to confirm the fix actually worked before you start printing on real materials.

UV combo printer,UV DTF printer,uv dtf stickers,UV printer,uvdtf,eufymake,EufyMake E1,

In my case - after doing the deep clean and shaking the cartridge together - the white finally started printing again. I can't say with 100% certainty whether it was one or both combined. What I can tell you is that doing just one without the other didn't work for me. It was the combination that fixed it.

Do You Need to Replace the Print Head?

If the white has still not come back, you may have a bigger issue. At this point it's best to contact Eufymake support and let them know the steps you've taken and send photos of your test print sheets.

They will send you a series of steps including reseting your printer to factory settings and request more information from you before determining if your Eufymake E1 print head needs to be replaced

If the print head does need to be replaced, you can follow my step by step guide for swapping it out.
