Silhouette CAMEO 5 Noise: Listen While It Cuts

One of the most common questions I get about the Silhouette CAMEO 5 is about the noise level.

Many users of earlier generations of CAMEO 5 complained about how relatively loud the vinyl cutting machine was during cutting. But is the CAMEO 5 noise any quieter? Read on and check out the video of the CAMEO 5 cutting to decide for yourself.

One of the big improvements of the Silhouette CAMEO 5 is the new gear system which greatly reduced the noise during cutting. The decibel level of the Silhouette CAMEO 5 is 26 to 67 depending on the material being cut, speed and force.

In comparison, the CAMEO 4 noise level was a minimum of 75 decibels.

Take a listen to the CAMEO 5 noise while cutting and you'll see just how quiet it is.

For a full side by side comparison of the Silhouette CAMEO 5 vs CAMEO 4, check out this post.
