How to Setup Sawgrass Bypass Tray with SG1000 Sublimation Printer

In just a few easy steps you can set up the Sawgrass Bypass Tray to use with the Sawgrass SG1000.

The Sawgrass bypass tray can also be used with the Sawgrass SG800 to print both wider and longer than the tray. There is a different bypass tray for the smaller SG500 and SG400 sublimation printer models. Read on for the complete steps on how to setup the Sawgrass sublimation printer bypass tray.

The Sawgass Bypass tray contains three pieces - the main bypass tray, the guide attachment, and the small stabilizer that will be attached with an included screw.  Out of the box, you'll find the guide attachment taped to the bottom of the bypass tray attachment.

Before you start the Sawgrass Bypass Tray installation, make sure your SG1000 printer is unplugged and powered off. You'll also want to make sure to remove all of the tape and packing material.

Connect the guide attachment to the main part of the bypass tray first. Do this by flipping the bypass tray back so you can access the bottom. There are three rectangular tabs on the smaller piece that will fit into three rectangular holes on the underside of the main attachment.

You'll also need to snap the two tabs on on each side.

Next, use a coin or philips head screw driver to attach the stabilizer to the left back side of the Sawgrass sublimation printer. You'll only use this piece if you are not using additional feed trays.

Now you're ready to attach the bypass tray to the Sawgrass SG1000 printer. Standing behind the printer, line up the feed guide piece you attached first with the open slot on on the back of the printer. There are a series of other pegs that will also line up.

When lined up correctly, it will also snap together very easily.

Once attached you will then need to go into your Sawgrass SG1000 printer utility to let the software and printer know a bypass tray is available as a feed source.

Open your printer settings and click Options. Check the box for Bypass Tray and then save the selections.

When you want to print using the bypass tray, in Sawgrass Print Manager simply select the source as "Bypass Tray".

To detach the bypass tray from the SG1000, press the two gray buttons on either side of the bypass tray and it will pop right off.

You can purchase the Sawgrass SG1000 bypass tray as an add on item separately, but you can also take advantage of the some awesome deals on Sawgrass SG1000 Sublimation Printer with Bypass Tray Bundles which will usually save you some money!
