Before you try to troubleshoot and figure out why you sticker or transfer is printing, but not cutting - confirm it has cut lines.
Launch Versaworks. I am using Versawork 7 on my MAC, but it’s of course also compatible with PC.
With one of the queues option click the + button to import a new file. When the file opens in the queue you can select it.
In the panel on the right, you’ll have data about the file starting with File Attributes.
In the Document Information section look for “Special Items.” You should see either an A in a sold square and/or an A in a dashed square.
The solid square means contour cut line data is in the file. A dashed square indicates perforated cut lines are found in the file. You can have one or the other or both displayed.
If Special Items is empty that means you don’t have cut lines on your file and they all need to be added in order to have the Roland successfully cut your image.
There are various ways to add Roland contour cut and perforated cut lines to your jobs. I have blog posts and video tutorials on many of them.
My recommended method for adding cut lines for jobs being print and cut on Roland BN2-20 or BN2-20A or BN2-30 depends on if you’re using a MAC or PC.
For PC users - hands down take advantage of the free Flexi VersaStudio Edition that offers 1 click cut line creations.
For Mac users (who unfortunately can’t use Flexi) I would recommend (and I use) Silhouette Studio to vectorize and Affinity Designer to add the Roland cut lines.
