Maybe you think you need a giant 22" x 60" sheet, but your designs might actually fit on something smaller allowing you to save some money.
This is such a common problem, and I'm SUPER excited to share a free new tool with you today.
If you pick a size that's too large, you're wasting money on blank space you don't need. But if you choose a size that's too small, you have to start all over again - wasting time.
For example, I'm using this cute design from So Fontsy's Summer Lovin' Bundle.

From there, all you need to do is:
Click "Create Design", upload your design files and resize to the dimensions you calculated.
The DTF Gang Sheet Calculator eliminates all that guesswork. It's going to be SUPER helpful in allowing you to figure out very quickly and very precisely what size you should pick!
Here's the thing. If you're going to spend time building a gang sheet for your DTF transfers, it makes sense to know what size sheet you need before you start building.
Both are equally frustrating!
Introducing the FREE DTF Transfer Calculator!
So Fontsy now has a DTF gang sheet size calculator that lets you estimate the perfect gang sheet size before you even start building by simply entering the quantity of transfers you want to print and the image dimensions.
Let me show you exactly how this works.
How to Use the DTF Gang Sheet Calculator
First, you need to know how many different designs you want to add to your gang sheet. The gang sheet estimator tool lets you input from 1-5 different designs, and for each design, you'll enter:- The width of your design (in inches)
- The height of your design (in inches)
- How many copies of that design you need
If you aren't sure of the dimensions of your image, you'll need to open the file so your dimensions are precise.
When I open it in Silhouette Studio, I can see that it's 10" x 8". I want to make it slightly larger at 10.5" wide, which makes the height 8.8".
Now I go back to the calculator and enter 10.5 for the width and 8.8 for the height. The calculator is smart enough to add a slight margin or padding around each design.
Let's See the Calculator in Action
If I only need ONE of this design, when I hit "Calculate," it recommends an 11" x 17" gang sheet because my 10.5" x 8.8" transfer would not fit on the next size gang sheet down of 8x11"But what if I need 10 copies? Changing the quantity to 10, I can then recalculate. Now it recommends a 22" x 48" gang sheet and tells me the cost per transfer will be $2.50 (much cheaper than ordering them individually)!

The DTF gang sheet size calculator even tells me how close I am to getting free shipping! If I spend just a little more, I can qualify for free shipping on my order (over $49.95).
If you wanted to add another image to the same gang sheet you'd change the first number to 2 and you'd get two boxes for image dimensions. The calculator would generate a recommendation based on the total printed area needed..and it even offers suggestions for how to layout the designs.
It will even tell you if you need multiple gang sheets.
From Calculator to Completed Gang Sheet
Now for the BEST part! When you're ready to create your gang sheet, you just click the "BUILD" button, and it takes you directly to the Gang Sheet Builder with your perfect size already selected! You can use the "Auto-fill" feature (or duplicate) to add all your copies. Then just submit your order and So Fontsy will print the transfers and ship them directly to your door!
Why This Calculator is a Game Changer
Had I just guessed what size gang sheet I needed, I might have picked the larger 22" x 60" size and wasted money. Or worse, I might have chosen something too small and had to start over. The DTF Gang Sheet Calculator eliminates all that guesswork. It's going to be SUPER helpful in allowing you to figure out very quickly and very precisely what size you should pick!
