First you will open Silhouette Studio and pull in all the elements you would like to use in your design. In order to make it the easiest for me I like grouping all the layers of each element.

I am using the Spring Collections Graphics SVG Bundle that is included in the Spring Crafting Font + SVG Bundle on So Fontsy with 241 designs and 36 adorable fonts for 91% off!

Next, bring the pot to the front as you will want all the elements behind it. and begin arranging them. You may need to resize, rotate, and mirror some elements.

Tips:

  1. Overlap Elements, this give it depth.

  2. Visually balance the image by placing a large & small item on one side and 2 medium size images on the other. Continue this until the sides meet in the middle.

Now since you have them arranged, it is time to change the colors. This helps to continue balancing the design. In order to do this you will need to ungroup the element you would like to change. Then you can select the piece of the element you would like to change and use the eyedropper tool to change it to the same color as another part of your design. This will keep your design uniform.

You can also use the color palette and go to Advanced Options to hone in on the shade of the color.

Then if you would like you can add text to your design. I wrote out 'hello spring' using the font Romantic Spring from the Spring Crafting Font + SVG Bundle as well.

Next, you will change the size of your page to fit what size you will print. I am printing at 8.5"x11". Then, size the image within and you will be ready to print the design for your project.
