I had no idea that my portrait could take a pen holder like this (Which is sad, I've had it far too long to not know this) I'm so excited to get experimenting with thisBrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04034848414981438972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7021963321489275438.post-80448422343111245182017-03-27T17:01:41.056-04:002017-03-27T17:01:41.056-04:00I bought a Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder ...I bought a Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder and I am very disappointed in it. I also have the Silhouette pen holder. So I did a comparison. The Silhouette holders does a much better job and for a lot less money!! I'm sorry I wasted a lot of money on this Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder!
Here is the reason why:
As you can see in the picture above (the picture with the pencil in the holder) the pencil is leaning against or perhaps toward the holder from the pressure of only one screw. If you don't secure your pen firmly it WILL come loose and ruin your design. Since the pencil is not in the center of the holder your drawing off center. If you are drawing a design and then cutting around the drawing your pencil just made the cut might be through parts of your design because the pencil is leaning and not centered in the pen holder.
Is that clear as mud?? :P
If the Chomas holder had a screw on the opposite side it would be a much better holder. As the pencil/pen is writing, the holder moves up and off the paper!@! Not sure what is happening. The blade fits fine and doesn't slip. Any suggestions would be appreciated before I send this back. Very disappointed. And concerned that perhaps the blade holder isn't working properly.
