Blogger of the Year Nomination (And because I love you...THIS!)

If you're a regular on the Silhouette School Facebook page you probably saw my plea to you to please vote for yours truly and Silhouette School Blog as Blogger of the Year.   Silhouette School has already been nominated (thank you!!!) so now all you have to do is cast your vote and it literally takes like 20 seconds to do so.  So I'm pretty much gonna beg you to do that because, well, it would really help me out and that would really help the blog out and that would, in turn, really help you out because then Silhouette School can continue being awesome - actually even more awesome!  Whew...Okay go vote (just click the drop down menu to find www.silhouetteschoolblog.com)

And then come on back here because I have the best tip ever!!!

You know how awhile back I told you about removing HTV mistakes with goo gone. Well that still works, but I've discovered an even easier way to remove heat transfer vinyl.

All you have to do is heat up your iron, put it directly on the vinyl for about 5-10 seconds at a time and your vinyl will melt right off.  Life changing, right?!   Now if it it doesn't come right off put the iron back on there again for a few more seconds.  Keep doing this until the vinyl starts to curl and peel. Depending on how well it's been adhered it may take up to 30 seconds to get the HTV off.
HTV mistakes, remove HTV mistakes, HTV, heat transfer vinyl

That's just to thank you for voting and because Silhouette School is that awesome :)

  2. I have a shirt where the HTV was just not in the right place. So I tried this method and it worked really good. Problem is this is a black shirt and it left an imprint of the design. I do not know how to get it off. Do you have any tips, on how to get it off.

Thanks for leaving a comment! We get several hundred comments a day. While we appreciate every single one of them it's nearly impossible to respond back to all of them, all the time. So... if you could help me by treating these comments like a forum where readers help readers.

In addition, don't forget to look for specific answers by using the Search Box on the blog. If you're still not having any luck, feel free to email me with your question.
